The Business Trades

Privacy Policy

Last updated June 22, 2026

Our promise: We keep data collection to a minimum, we never sell your personal information, and we're transparent about the third-party services we rely on.

Who we are

TheBusinessTrades ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website https://thebusinesstrades.com and a companion mobile app that displays our website content in a secure in-app view. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We are a publisher of software reviews, not a service that requires accounts. We collect only what's needed to run the site and improve our content:

  • Information you send us — if you email us or fill in a contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message so we can reply.
  • Usage and analytics data — pages visited, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, and referring source, collected in aggregate to understand what's useful.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small files used for analytics and to attribute affiliate referrals (see below).

We do not require registration, host public comments, or ask for sensitive personal data to read the site.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to measure traffic and improve our reviews. These help us understand which guides are helpful and where readers get stuck. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the partner or its network may set a cookie to attribute a referral so we can earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details. These cookies identify the referral, not you personally.

Embedded content from other sites

Our reviews may include embedded content such as YouTube videos (served via the privacy-friendly youtube-nocookie domain) and brand logos. Embedded content behaves as if you visited the third-party site directly, and those providers may collect data and set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of reputable third parties — for example, web hosting/CDN providers and analytics. These services process limited data on our behalf under their own privacy and security policies. We do not knowingly sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Mobile app

Our mobile app loads website content inside a secure in-app view. The app itself does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, does not use advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA), and does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files. It requires only internet access to load content.

How long we keep data

We retain email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and our records, and analytics data only in aggregated form. We do not maintain personal profiles of readers.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of that data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal data — which we do not do.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at thebusinesstrades@gmail.com and we'll respond promptly.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).

International visitors

We operate from India and serve readers worldwide. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws than your own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law evolve. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date on this page.
